In 1986, Davide Megna was training to be a chef, learning the secrets of northern Italian cooking at cooking school in the Piedmont region of Italy, renowned for its rich culinary tradition and wines. Roberto Deias was studying the art of fine restaurant management in hotel school on the island of Sardinia, known as "The Pearl of the Mediterranean."

Davide and Roberto didn't know each other then, but they shared a dream: to travel the world, find a good place to settle down, and open a restaurant. A family restaurant that serves simple, elegant Italian cuisine. A warm, welcoming place where diners would be treated like friends.

Their dream began to take shape when they met ten years later, each recruited by Roberto Donna for his Chevy Chase restaurant. After honing their skills at Cafe Milano, Galileo, Al Tiramisu and Sette Osteria, they finally opened up their own place in Potomac. So welcome friends, welcome!
